Now in its 40th year, World Hello Day takes place on 21st November 2013.
World Hello Day began in 1973 in response to the Yom Kippur War as a way to promote peace and conversation as a means to resolve differences. The value of World Hello Day has been realised by no less than 31 winners of the Nobel Peace Prize (to date).
Traditionally, World Hello Day has focused on encouraging participants to say HELLO to 10 people during the day. However, we’d like to take advantage of the devices in our pockets to bring people together through co-production. We want to make a World Hello Day film using short video contributions from all around the world!
